Update

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't posted much lately. Just wanted to give you an update though. Everyone knows the Holidays are hectic and it was indeed the same for me. I ended up hurting my back where I could barely move walk for about two weeks. It was a horrible pain that I never want to experience again. Want to know how I hurt it? Of course you do! I sneezed. Yeah, that is all I did. Ha, I knew I was officially old at that point.

I also celebrated my 30th birthday! (Like I just said, I am old!) A few friends and I went to dinner and then went out for some drinks and dancing afterwards. It was a lot of fun and here are a few pics from that night!

My friend that moved away came back for a weekend for her last company Christmas party and I got to go as her date. It was Masquerade themed and I love myself a themed party so I was very excited to go. We partied like it was our high school's 11th year reunion and acted 21 again. We had so much fun, like usual.

My mom ended up in the hospital a week or so before Christmas. After numerous tests, she was diagnosed with Shingles. I never realized how common it is. She is out of the hospital now but is still in a lot of pain.

I am sick, again! It seems to be going in a circle with this bipolar weather we are all having. Last week it was 74 degrees and right now it is 33 degrees. Don't get me wrong, I love cold weather but I hate the big jumps in temperatures that keeps getting everyone sick.

Anyway, that is all for now. Hope all is well with all of my Don't Judge Me readers. Happy New Year!

Let's Be Friends Blog Hop

Welcome to the Let's Be Friends Blog Hop!

A blog hop is a set time frame for current or aspiring bloggers to find new blogs and quality content. It is a great way to make new friends and find inspiration! It is also a fabulous way to promote your own blog and posts.

Dear Friends,

Welcome to the 42nd Let's Be Friends Blog Hop!

Join us every Tuesday at 9am (MST). This blog hop focuses on content. I love the idea of blog hopping, but I love the idea of reading posts and quality content on new blogs I've never been to even more. Instead of simply linking up your blog button, you are now able to link up your favorite post you recently wrote. Have a delicious recipe to share, DIY tutorial, or heartfelt post? Share it with us! All hosts and co-hosts put up some unique and fun content from the past week. Make sure to check them out. P.S.- you may still link up your blog button and blog name, but it is encouraged to link up your favorite post instead. You will get more page views and interest if you do so! Some of the most successful blog hops I have participate in focus on content rather than just exchanging follows. You never know who will become a loyal follower or pin that delicious new recipe you posted!

The BEST part of this blog hop? Each week there will be a WINNER! That's right, each week we will choose one lucky blog to feature from the previous week's hop. This hop receives thousands of page views every week, so your blog will have the chance to be center stage for free. You must follow all the hosts and co-hosts in order to win.

The last exciting change is that the co-host spots will now be available to all sponsors of All My Happy Endings or The Dwelling Tree. If you are interested in co-hosting the blog hop, email Tiffany or Mandi about sponsorship opportunities and how to co-host the weekly hop!

Let's Be Friend's Blog Hop Guidelines
1. Link up your favorite post from your week.
2. Follow your hosts and co-hosts.
3. Grab the button and post it on your blog so we can share the love.
4. Visit 3 other blogs and follow them along!

***This weeks featured post from last week's hop:

I have to say, I am having a hard time picking a winner each week. After reading so many of your amazing posts, I stumbled across this post. It made me cry. It is so beautifully put, and moving. Any parent will relate. Even if you are not a parent, this is a heartfelt and lovely read.

I so relate with this post. Recently, I have been amazed with how difficult parenting is. This was a heart check for me. One of my favorite parts of this post reads: "You get in the way of me.  And that, really, is actually the biggest inconvenience of all.You make abundantly obvious the futility of living a life that revolves around me and is all about me and ends with me."

Check out the blog The Jelly Jars, written by 3 sisters who are trying to preserve their sweet lives on one blog. There is some beautiful content on there.

All of you- thank you from the depth of my soul for the fabulous content you are sharing! What talent, and how fun is it for me to go through all these posts and read! I have been blown away by all of the posts you put up. I am LOVING getting to know so many of you through your lives, recipes and tutorials.

*Remember YOU can be next weeks winner! :)

Aw man, Amberly, why did you have to put up such a cute pic of your dog? Anyways, the  moment I saw this post it caught my eye. Partly because my husband and I have been on the fence for awhile about getting a puppy. I love the reasons Amberly lists out on this blog post for "Why every marriage needs a puppy". I love #2 the bestThere is always someone to keep you company when your spouse is gone. So true. Anyways, it is a great post and one worth reading. Plus, I just love this photo. It is rather Pinterest worthy for family photos including your pet!

Good tears

For most of you who know me, this year has been pretty craptacular. I'm sure I will blog about it sooner or later for those of you who don't know and actually care to. I have shed too many tears this year but this time, it is good tears. A friend of mine wrote this blog post about me a few days ago and I came across it today and just started crying. I had no idea how important I was to her until I read this. We have had our ups and downs for sure but after reading this, I just wanted to see her and give her a big hug and say Thank you for making my day a little brighter! Here is what she wrote:

"Day 3 is a picture of me and my bestest friend. My friend Amy and I have know each other since 2001 or so, I'm bad with the details, she would know probably the month and day even. lol

As with most friendships we have had our ups and downs and for awhile there we stopped talking completely. It unfortunately took something drastic for me to find the courage to talk to her again and like the forgiving person she is, she accepted me back in to her life. I really don't know what I would do without her. She has been going through some rough times in life and I try to be there for her as much as possible and don't have nearly enough time with her as I want to.

Best friends should be able to discuss anything and everything without feeling shy or scared to talk about them and I have that with Amy. We talk about family, friends, relationships, sex, dogs, general public and other random questions that come to mind. It is so easy to talk with her about these things that I barely hesitate when I have a new questions or topic to discuss.

I don't think about it too much because it hurts to and my eyes well up as I type this, but she was there when I found out about my Dad passing. That time is a blur to me mostly, but I remember clearly walking into the ER and seeing her face and just knowing and she was there for me through that. It was the hardest thing I have gone through to this day.

She is dealing with her own life struggles and I hope that I am there for her throughout them and can make more time for her and be there by her side when she needs me. This is why she is my best friend, I can not imagine a time without her anymore."
